Road to Raisina 2024Road to Raisina 2024

We frequently encounter opposition leaders criticizing Bharatiya Janata Party MP candidates for invoking PM Modi’s name than relying on their own accomplishments when contesting elections. While acknowledging the validity of that argument, in this article, I aim to explain why the BJP’s strategy seems justified

Over the past decade, PM Modi has consistently demonstrated strong leadership capabilities. From implementing Demonetisation to navigating the challenges of COVID-19, from conducting Surgical Strikes to overseeing the construction of the Ram Mandir, he has proven himself to be a capable and decisive prime minister. When a leader’s initiatives have impacted millions of people, it naturally encompasses the constituents in the areas where the candidates are running for office.

When every candidate of the party, alongside its office bearers and supporters, consistently relies on invoking the name of a singular individual, it signifies a unified adherence to the overarching strategy established by the highest echelons of leadership. This cohesive approach underscores a concerted effort to align with the vision and directives set forth by the top leadership, reflecting a synchronized campaign strategy aimed at maximizing the party’s electoral prospects. This implies a continuity of stability extending from the organisational to the executive tiers of the party. Such coherence facilitates swift organisation and seamless execution of tasks, ensuring efficiency and minimizing obstacles.

That paints a picture of an impeccably organised election machinery or a formidable juggernaut that appears virtually invincible.

The Bharatiya Janata Party presents itself as a political force with a leader who not only leads but also envisions India’s role as a significant global player. In this context, it’s only natural for candidates representing the BJP to rally behind a charismatic figure like Narendra Modi. Modi’s leadership is characterized by a defined vision for the nation’s advancement and global standing. Consequently, BJP candidates find resonance in aligning their campaigns with Modi’s vision, as it offers a clear and compelling path forward for the country’s growth and development on the international stage.

It’s essential to recognize that amidst the current tumultuous period, India urgently requires political stability, regardless of the outcome of the election results. Rather than fixating solely on the methods employed to achieve this stability, attention should be directed towards the ultimate outcome. Regardless of which party assumes power, the overarching objective remains consistent: ensuring short-term stability and fostering long-term growth. In navigating the complexities of governance, the focus should be on fostering an environment conducive to stability in the immediate future while laying the groundwork for sustained progress and development over the long haul.
